Site / coastal / low-lying / on floods

Wang-Liao is a coastal and low-lying community of Taiwan. About 1469 residents are living there and most of them living on fish farming. The village was flooded during typhoons in 1986 (30 days), 1990 (39 days), and 1992 (13 days). The maximum subsidence at Wang-Liao is about 1.17 m; subsidence rate is about 3.46-9.21 cm/yr.
